Biography

Teele Henry Nesbitt enlisted 31st January 1916 as Thomas Harry CROSS and the deceit was not discovered until after his death. He was born in Ballarat, but enlisted from Jindivick where he worked as a farm labourer. He was 21 years old and single. He joined the 24th Infantry Battalion; with Regimental No. 5325. On 61n October 1917 he died of wounds incurred at Broodseinde, and is buried at Lijessenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
