Biography

Walter Bisgrove Smith enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 23 on the 24th of January 1916. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Striker. He volunteered and was stationed with the 8th Battalion, 16th Reinforcement as Regimental number 5228. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 27th of August 1920. Tree number 2030.
