Thomas Edward Hauser was a single 21 year old school teacher when he enlisted on the 26th of January 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A31 Ajana on the 8th of July 1916.
He returned to Australia on the 10th of March 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 22nd on May 1919 due to deafness.
