Biography

Born in Aberdeen, Scotland and a Marine Dealer, Joseph Falconer Campbell was 43 years and single when enlisted on the 4th of February 1916 in the 8th Battalion, 16th Reinforcement, Australian Imperial Force, with the rank of Private, Number 5059. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A23 'Suffolk' on the 1st of April 1916. Proceeded overseas to France on the 29th of August 1916. Admitted to Hospital sick on the 1st of February 1917. Private marched out to England on the 28th of February 1919 and was listed as returned to Australia per 'Port Demison' on the 25th of March 1919. Disembarked on the 10th of May 1919. Tree No. 2086
