Biography

Duncan McInnes was a single 40 year old farmer at the time of his enlistment on the 5th of February 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on the 4th of April 1916.
On the 20th of September 1917, Duncan was wounded in action. He was admitted to the General Military Hospital in Colchester, England on the 27th of September with a gunshot wound to his left leg.
Duncan returned to Australia on the 30th of December 1917, and was discharged on the 1st of February 1918 due to his wounds.
