Timothy Davis (SN 432), born at Warrenheip, was a 40 year old unmarried bricklayer when he enlisted on February 17th 1916. Assigned to the 39th Infantry Battalion he embarked from Melbourne aboard the Ascanius on May 27th bound for England. In November of 1916 he crossed from England to the battlefields of France. He served through the final two years of the war avoiding major wounds or illness, although his record shows he did have some discipline issues. After the war he returned to Australia aboard the SS Kyber, disembarking at Melbourne on May 22nd 1919. He was discharged on July 6th 1919.
