Biography

Albert Edward George Sebo (SN 3623) was born in Melbourne, but enlisted in Ballarat on March 6th 1916. A 19 year old, unmarried, painter, he was assigned to the 29th Infantry Battalion and embarked from Melbourne on board the Orsova in August. During the voyage to the Middle East the ship called at Fremantle, providing soldiers with a short period of leave. On August 7th 1916, he was returning to the ship when he was struck and killed by a train. He is buried in Fremantle Cemetery, W.A.
