Born in Ballarat, Percy Victor Ernest Keast was a married 43 year old miner at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 4th of March 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A62 Wandilla on the 6th of June 1916.
On the 8th of October 1918 he was promoted Temporary Corporal.
Percy returned to Australia on the 8th of May 1919 and was discharged on the 22nd of June 1919.
