Edward McDonald Watters was born in Casterton, Victoria, he was single and at the time of enlistment was employed as a Labourer. He enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 28. He volunteered and was stationed with the 39th Battalion, 3rd Reinforcement with the Regimental number 2171. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 19th of February 1919. Tree number 2220.
