Terence Smith enlisted in Geelong, Victoria at the age of 29 on the 14th of March 1916. He had been born in Durham Lead, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Labourer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 29th Battalion, 8th Reinforcement later transferring to the 5th Battalion as Regimental number 3615. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 25th of January 1919. Tree number 2226.
