Biography

Harold Crouch enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 23 on the 11th of March 1916. He had been born in Murtoa, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Engine Fitter. He volunteered and was stationed with the 39th Battalion, 2nd Reinforcement as Regimental number 1985. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 13th of February 1917.

Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Harold Crough.
