Biography

Everett Mark Rickard (SN 5906) was born in Maryborough but, on March 15th 1916, he enlisted in Ballarat. He was a clerk, aged 19 and single. He was taken by 22nd Infantry Battalion, embarking from Melbourne for the Front in October on board the Nestor. He arrived in France in February 1917 and on May 3rd 1917 he was killed in action near Bullecourt. He has no known grave and his name is listed on the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux, France.
