Biography

Born in Linton, Victoria, Donald Johnston was a married 44 year old engineer at the time of his enlistment in Ballarat on the 29th of January 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A35 Berrima on the 4th of July 1916.
On the 22nd of March 1917 he was taken on strength with the Australia Divisional Base Depot.
Donald was discharged on the 6th of August 1917 as medically unfit.
