Biography

Born in Dunolly, Victoria, Bertrude Bartlett was a single 29 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment on the 4th of September 1914. His unit embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia, on board Transport A7 Medic on the 2nd of November 1914.
On the 22nd of October 1917, Bertrude was wounded in action. He rejoined his unit on the 19th of December 1917.
Bertrude returned to Australia on the 27th of January 1919, and was discharged on the 30th of March 1919.
