David Dewar was born in Mount Gambier, South Australia was single and was employed as a Labourer. He enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 39. He volunteered and was stationed with the 39th Battalion, B Company with the Regimental number 433. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 17th of March 1919. Tree number 2262.
