Biography

Born in Ballarat, Arnold Leslie Lusher was a single 23 year old groom when he enlisted on the 21st of March 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A11 Ascanius on the 27th of May 1916.
Sometime during the war, Arnold was married to Janet M. who remained in Australia.
On the 29th of September 1918, Arnold was wounded in action with a gunshot wound to his neck. He marched out to join his unit on the 28th of October 1918.
He returned to Australia on the 17th of July 1919 and was discharged on the 4th of September 1919.
