William Henry Strange was a coach painter who had been born in Ballarat and enlisted there on 4th April 1916. He was 18 years old and single. He was allocated to the 39th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 235. On 5th October 1917 he died of wounds received at Broodseinde and is buried in the Ypres Reservoir Ce-metery, Belgium. À
