William Henry Matheson (SN 6063) was a 20 year old married miner when he enlisted on April 8th 1916. Posted initially to the 8th Infantry Battalion he embarked aboard the Themistocles on July 28th. At some point he was transferred to the 39th Battalion. He returned to Australia on November 6th 1918. We are unable to access his National Archives service record.
