Biography

George Frampton (SN 6025) was born at Kewell in the Wimmera and attended the Weatherboard Hill State School near Burrumbeet. He was a 31 year old farmer at Joel Joel when he enlisted on 15th April 1916. He was allocated to the 8th Infantry Battalion and left Australia in late July aboard the Themistocles. He was killed in action at Mont St Quentin on 31st August 1918. He has no known grave, and is name is on the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux, France. He was 34 years of age.
