Eric Macarthur Morrison was a single 24 year old bank clerk at the time of his enlistment in Ballarat on the 26th of May 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A9 Shropshire on the 25th of September 1916.
On the 1st of September 1917 Eric was promoted to Extra Regimental Corporal.
Eric was then promoted to Extra Regimental Staff Sergeant on the 18th of March 1919.
He returned to Australia on the 26th of December 1919, and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 20th of February 1920.
