Biography

William John Thomas Hodges was a single 26 year old when he enlisted on the 16th of August 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A17 Port Lincoln on the 20th of October 1916.
On July 23rd 1917, William was admitted to hospital sick in France. He was invalided to Brighton and admitted to hospital there on the 4th of November 1917 due to trench feet. He embarked from England for return to Australia on the 21st of April 1918, and returned to Australia on the 7th of June 1918. William was discharged as medically unfit on the 24th of July 1918.
