Biography

Albert Edward Freestone was born in Little Bendigo, and enlisted in Ballarat on 1st October 1914. He was 25 years old, single and a labourer. He was posted to 14th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 53. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 26th of August 1915, and is recorded on the Lone Pine Memorial.
