Biography

Frank Ernest Robinson (SN 4205) was born in Ballarat but enlisted in Kalgoorlie, W.A., on January 10th 1916. The 31 year old unmarried miner left Fremantle with the 28th Battalion on board the Ulysses in April. He arrived in France in August and was wounded in action a couple of months later, suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. He was evacuated to England and wasn't discharged from the 3rd Auxillary Hospital until May 1917. He rejoined his unit France in June 1918 but was killed in the fighting near Morlancourt just two days later, on June 10th 1918. He is buried in the Beacon British Cemetery, Hazebrouck, Belgium.
