Biography

Born in Warracknabeal, Victoria, John Francis Kelly was a married 35 year old railway employee at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 8th of May 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A9 Shropshire on the 25th of September 1916.
On the 10th of February 1919 John was appointed Extra Regimental Second Corporal. He returned to Australia on the 26th of December 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 10th of February 1920.
