Biography

Born in Wick, Scotland, William Hamilton was a single 44 year old carpenter at the time of his enlistment in Ballarat on the 7th of June 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A9 Shropshire on the 25th of September 1916.
William returned to Australia on the 11th of October 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 25th o November 1919.
