Harry Rolf Sisely (SN 3150) was an 18 year old clerk when he enlisted in Ballarat on June 23rd 1916. He embarked aboard the Ballarat on February 19th 1917 and served in France with the 39th Infantry Battalion until he suffered a fractured femur in July 1918. He was evacuated to hospital in England where he remained until hostilities ceased. In September 1919 he married Elizabeth Taylor at Hampstead in England before returning to Australia aboard the Runic. He disembarked back in Melbourne on February 6th 1920 and was discharged on March 28th.
