Gordon George Hauser Bishop (SN 6227) was born in Ballarat and educated at Ballarat High School before becoming an accountant. As a 20 year old, he enlisted in Ballarat on June 19th 1916 and embarked in September. He was killed in action at Carlisle Farm near Passchendaele on September 20th 1917. He has no known grave and his name in on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
