Biography

Born in Ballarat, Victoria and a Motor mechanic by trade, George Henry Buddle was 21 years and single when enlisted on the 16th of March 1916 in the Supply Column 3, Army Service Corps 26, Australian Imperial Force, with the rank of Motor Transport Driver, Number 11667. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A19 'Afric' on the 5th of June 1916. On the 4th of June 1919 marched out to England. Returned to Australia per A. 'Persic' on the 13th of July 1919 and disembarked on the 29th of August 1919. Discharged 3rd Military District on the 13th of October 1919 with the termination of period of Enlistment. Tree No. 2506
