Biography

Albert Morgan (SN 1130/430) was born in Ballarat and on September 27th 1916 he enlisted in the First Australian Imperial Force. He was a 30 year old, unmarried carpenter. He joined the Australian Flying Corps and embarked for overseas service aboard the Omrah in the following January. He was promoted to Corporal in December 1917 but died on February 10th 1918 of a perforated duodenal ulcer, and is buried in Christchurch Churchyard, Tilstock, Shropshire, UK. He was 31 years of age.
