Biography

Born in Ballarat, Harry McIntosh was a single 43 year old cleaner and dyer at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 5th of May 1916. He was discharged on the 11th of August 1916 as medically unfit, before he could serve abroad.
Harry re-enlisted on the 18th of October 1916, and his unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A20 Hororata on the 23rd of November 1916.
He returned to Australia on the 28th of September 1918, and was discharged as medically unfit on the 13th of November 1918 due to neurasthenia.
