Biography

Edwin John White was a carriage painter who was born in Ballarat, and enlisted from Ballarat North on 2nd October 1916. He was 23 and single. He was allocated to the 39th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No.2391. On 12th October 1917 he was killed in action near Ypres. His name is on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
