Arthur Binch (SN 7103) born in Warrnambool, was a 27 year old labourer when he enlisted in Melbourne on October 9th1916. He embarked aboard the Hororata on November 23rd and sailed to England. In May 1917 he joined the 7th Infantry Battalion in France. During his service he had some mild health issues and breaches of military discipline, but he avoided serious illness or injury. He returned to Australia aboard the Persic, disembarked at Melbourne on August 29th1919 and was discharged on October 6th.
