Duncan Raymond Brown was allocated Regimental No. 6961 when he joined the 7th Infantry Battalion on 17th October 1916. He was born in Abbotsford but was living in Yarraville. He was 28 years of age, unmarried and an engineer. He was killed in action at Broodseinde on 5th October 1917. His name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
