Donald Victor Craig (SN 6306) was born in Ballarat but enlisted in Bendigo on 18th October 1916. He left Australia in November on board the Hororata to serve with the 22nd Infantry Battalion. He arrived in France in May but was killed in action in the fighting in the Third Battle of Ypres in Flanders on September 17th 1917. He was 33 years of age and has no known grave but his name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
