Biography

Kenneth Alexander MacLeod (Lt.) was born in Swan Hill but was educated at Ballarat College. He was 19 years old and had just completed his training at Duntroon Military College in Canberra when he enlisted on November 18th 1914. He sailed from Melbourne on board the Ulysses on December 22nd to serve as a Lieutenant with the 13th Battalion. He took part in the landing at Gallipoli on April 25th 1915 but was killed in action on May 3rd 1915. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Australian Memorial at Lone Pine, Gallipoli, Turkey.
