Biography

Eric Gordon Williams (SN 3839 ) born at Ballarat, was a 19 year old clerk when he enlisted in Melbourne on August 7th 1915. He embarked aboard the Ceramic on November 23rd and sailed to Egypt where he was assigned to the 5th Division Signals Company as a driver. In June 1916 he was moved to France, but he came through the war without major illness or injury. He returned to Australia aboard the Devanha, disembarked at Melbourne on June 23rd 1919 and was discharged on September 16th.
