Biography

Ernest Angus "Gus" Brown was a bank clerk in Brisbane, Qld. He enlisted in the 25th Infantry Battalion on 6th August 1915. His Regimental No. was 3279. He was born in Mt Gerton, was single, and 23 years old. Later he was transferred to 9th Infantry Battalion and promoted Corporal. He was killed in action at Mouquet Farm on 21st August 1916, and is buried in the British Cemetery Orvillers-La-Boiselle, France.
