Biography

Robert Percival Moore was born in Zeehan, Tasmania, and enlisted from Ballarat on 27th August 1914. He was 22 years old, single and working as a labourer. He was posted to the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 446. He was killed in action on 201h September 1917 in the trenches in the Mouquet Farm area. His name is on the Mein Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
