Robert Percival Moore (SN 446) was born in Zeehan, Tasmania, but attended the Moonambel State School. He enlisted in Ballarat on August 27th 1914. He was 22 years old, single and working as a labourer. He was posted to the 8th Infantry Battalion and departed for the war in October aboard the Benalla . He served at Gallipoli before being deployed on the Western front. He was killed in action on September 20th 1917 near Mouquet Farm area. He has no known grave so his name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
He was 25 years old.
