Biography

Robert Charles Cutts (SN 834) was born in Bathurst, NSW, and enlisted in Sydney on August 23rd 1914. He embarked from Sydney on board the Suffolk in October. Posted to the Transport Section of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, he served in Egypt and in France. A diagnosis of heart disease caused his return to Australia, but he died at sea and is buried in the Fremantle Cemetery, WA. He was 31 years of age.

His brother Wilfred also served in the AIF and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
