Patrick O'Malley (SN 2739) had attended the Warrenheip State School and was a farmer at Leigh Creek when he enlisted on July 23rd 1915. He was 24 and unmarried. He was allocated to 23rd Infantry Battalion and embarked in late October. He was killed in the fighting at Hazebrouck on April 22nd 1918, and is buried in Ribemont Communal Cemetery, France.
