Thomas Edwin Storey (SN 13358) born at Wycheproof, was a 19 year old farmer when he enlisted on July 29th 1915. He had previously served with the 65th Infantry. On March 7th 1916 he sailed on the Karoola reaching France in June to serve with the 2nd Field Ambulance. In July he suffered shell shock and was evacuated to hospital. He returned to the battle front in September and was transferred to the 13th Field Ambulance. In May 1917 he was again hospitalised suffering from adenitis. After the war he returned to Australia as a member of the nursing staff aboard the Aeneas, disembarked on July 12th 1919 and was discharged on September 21st. He served again during the World War 2 with serial number V81699.
