Owen Herbert Peters was born in Ballarat, Victoria, on the 12th of June 1879, obtaining 2 doctorates in Medicine, he was working in Nottingham, United Kingdom when he joined the 36th Sanitary Section of the Royal Army Medical Corps., He was struck by shrapnel in France on the 5th of August, 1916. He is buried at the Corbie Communal Cemetery Extension in Plot 2, RowA,Grave Number 47. Tree number 2648.
