Biography

Owen Herbert Peters (Capt.) was born in Ballarat and attended the Pleasant Street State School before obtaining two doctorates in Medicine. He was working in Nottingham, United Kingdom, when he joined the 36th Sanitary Section of the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was struck and killed by shrapnel in France on August 5th 1916. He is buried at the Corbie Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
