Biography

Peter Edward Davis (SN 1894) born in Buninyong, was a 25 year old labourer when he enlisted in Seymour on June 23rd 1915. Assigned to the 22nd Infantry Battalion, he embarked aboard the Anchises on August 26th first to Egypt and then to France in March 1916. An extended illness in late 1917 into 1918 saw him hospitalised in England, then in mid-1918 he was twice charged for being absent without leave.
