Biography

Edmond Percy Wilmot was a 19 year old single school teacher from Ballarat when he enlisted as a Sapper with the 2nd Signal Company, 3rd Reinforcements on the 1st of October 1914.His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board A23 Suffolk on the 28th of July 1915. On the 31st of August 1915 Edmond was admitted to hospital in London with a gunshot wound to the neck. It is undated when he returned back to his unit.
He was discharged on the 1st of August 1916 after he was appointed a commission in the Royal Flying Corps.
