Robert Dennis Desmond was a Lieutenant in the 6th Machine Gun Company. He enlisted from Redan on 24th March, 1915. He was 24 years old, single and employed as an attendant. He was born in Ballarat. He was killed in action at Bullecourt on 3rd May 1917, and his name is on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
