Biography

Born in Melbourne, Victoria, William Alfred Harrison was a single 25 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment in Ballarat on the 25th of February 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A11 Ascanius on the 27th of May 1916.
On the 13th of November 1916, William was admitted to hospital for Pleurisy.
On July 27th 1917, he was taken on strength with the Australia Army Ordnance Corps Services.
He returned to Australia on the 4th of February 1920, and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 12th of April 1920.
