Biography

George McFarlane Eltringhan (SN 15446) born at Ballarat, was a 19 year old fitter and turner when he enlisted in Melbourne on February 21st 1916. On October 7th he embarked aboard the Ceramic for overseas service with the 2nd Field Company Engineers. He served in France from May 1917, with a couple of mild health issues as his only problems. He returned home on the Khyber and was discharged on September 18th 1919.
