Reginald Percy Marshall (SN 14511) born at Geelong, was a 21 year old telegraphist when he enlisted in Melbourne on July 3rd 1916. He trained at the Signal School before he embarked aboard the Malwa on July 25th. Assigned to the 1st Australian Wireless Signal Squadron he served in the Middle East and in India avoiding battle wounds but having some health difficulties. He returned to Australia aboard the Janus, disembarked at Melbourne on April 19th 1919 and was discharged medically unfit on August 9th.
