Isaac Myers (SN1705 ) born at Ballarat, was an 18 year old labourer when he enlisted at Ballarat on March 20th 1916. He embarked aboard the Port Lincoln on May 4th and sailed to England. In February 1917 he joined the 58th Infantry Battalion in France. In October he transferred to the Australian Army Medical Corps and joined the staff of the 3rd Casualty Clearing Station. At the war’s end he returned to Australia aboard the Norman, disembarked at Melbourne on August 18th 1919 and was discharged on October 2nd.
His brother John also served in the AIF and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
