Leslie Neil Laverty enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 25 on the 6th of August 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria was single, and was employed as a Farmer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 4th Australian Division Ammunition Column with the Regimental number 14262. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 30th of May 1919.
